Belodin's Diary: A warm fire.

266 Days untill Durin's Day

Not a day goes by with out missing you m'dear Brulda.

A warm fire. Quite the luxury when one forgets about them. I have gained the keys of my old dwelling in Thorin's Hall, A small but yet homely place. I offered the only bed there to my Companion which she refused at first but ended up thanking me for it. Although it was quite the sight to see A grown Numénorian in A Dwarven bed. I took it upon my self to inspect the old place, and in exception of some dust here and there it looks the same as when I left it.

The feeling is odd walking around in something that used to be yours. Although I havn't dwelt there long, it still feels somewhat distant from me, like I have taken my distance from it for a reason. Be that as it may, my companion seems to appreciate it, she enjoys the silence deeper with in the mountain.

My conversation have improved with my companion. I have grown rather fond of her different views and her motherly stance on things. The main conversation is about her children, something I had issues with earlier but I have grown to accept, as long as the conversation doesn't shift to me as we speak.

Although talking cheer full about her children she seems to always have A sad tone when speaking about them. I have promised my self I would ask why that was but I havn't found the courage yet to do so. She requested to cook for me, which said no to , as stubborn as A Dwarf could.  Although her cooking is more then good, I have not lived to see the day that Human food in cooked beneath the mountain.

I have been informed that the pass through the mountains is open again. Something I havn't told my companion yet. I am meaning to do it but the company has done me good and I look with sad heart to the prospect of being alone again. But time will not wait for an oldman's heart, it rather wants to catch up with it.
