273 days untill Durin's day.
Not a day goes by with out missing you m'dear Brulda.
Yesterday I was unable to write in my diary, my apologies for that Brulda. I know you like to kept informed. But yesterday was A day with a awful heavy load to it. It seems the air and cold of the mountains fall rather heavy on my companion, although for some reason I tent to give her a hard time about it, I admire a strong woman's heart. Although she is A ranger she still stays A lady.Although she has been more then willing to show what she has in store upon joining the journey back to the Blue Mountains, it seems her endurance is starting to run low.
After walking for hours again today, I had some time to ponder, my mind haunted by the questions I left with within Bree. The white hand still being the mystery it was, I broke my own skull open about what it could mean. After discussing with my self how many things it could represent my mind drifted back to Bree. Alhough I had spend a great deal of time there and hated most of it, I had grown fond of the friends I made there and hope they are doing Alright. A short thought of dread came upon me, fearing that the evil spreading in those lands will bring ill to those I met. For a short moment I thought about the Lady of Rohan I spoke with several days ago, her innocent and helpful character A perfect target for those who wish to do harm. I wonder if the Red dressed man took my advice to bring her some evermind, something i'd sure to do upon my return in Bree when ever that maybe.
After pondering about my Companions state I decided to take up camp. As much for my own well being as for hers. Although the mountain air has given me A burst in my health the curse of old age is still haunting my body
My companion proved her self skill full with her bow. She requested me if she could hunt for diner whilst I focused on making A camp and start fire. She managed to get A snow-bunny with A clean arrow through its neck. A shot even the most skilled of my kin with bow and arrow can only make with A fair amount of luck. Her cooking how ever outclasses her skill with the bow. How she took A plain bunny and made it in to what it was is something that has caught my attention and the rest of the evening I plagued her with questions about how she managed to do that.
The cold that night was harsh and unfit for those not common to harsh freezing weather. Before I drifted away I could see my companion shiffer in the cold,I offered her my mantle, which she was hesitant to take but accept to offer after some mild discussion. Although I had A colder sleep then I like to admit, my companions warming face made sure I slept better then A Wee Dwarf on its mother's bousem.
Hopefully this morning will be as good as the last one and we will be able to arrive at Thorin's Halls within the next two days.
