275 Days unitll Durin's day.
Not a day goes by with out missing you m'dear Brulda.
Today, before the sun dwelt in the sky I awoke, peacefully for once. The fresh air of the Blue mountains doing my health more then good. After making A short and far to brief walk around the Fortress of Gondamon, I decided to wake my companion, after A short and rather silent breakfast we went on with our journey towards the Halls of Thorin.
Whe shared few tale and word. My mind has received A dent, our conversation the night before has me thinking about my son more then I would have ever wished. Like an old wound it seems to have been reopened, the weather also didn't help, a wet snowstorm showed its ugly face and the mood turned colder then the weather around us.
A make shift camp as all we had that evening. Due to the storm i could tell how close we were to my kin's mighty halls, but concerning about warmth kept my mind on something else for some time. I found some joy I trying to make A fire, although my companion requested in doing it I have always found a great pleasure in lighting up small things, how Ironic as it may seem. My mood returned to normal when I got the fire going. I shared A song with my Companion, some salted pork, and some light hearted Tales about why the Dwarven kin would prefer not to ride A horse. Although writing this on A snowy ground made it almost impossible to write, I am proud of my self I managed to do it anyway. Hopefully tomorrow will bring more welcome tidings.
I also promised to end my notes and A happy tone, I saw A butterfly today a midst the snow, A rare moment of happiness dwell in my heart for a split second whist seeing this. The poor creature fighting its way towards A place it would never reach. A heartwarming thought,but perhaps also sad. As you might understand I need to make more practice on what I concider A "Happy" ending......
