Troop Movements in Eregion

Twice recently a large war force of Elves and Men has been seen gathering in Gwingris, and heading out to unknown purposes into Eregion. It is rumoured that these troop movements are made under the command of the Elves who wish to recapture their lands. As of now, there are no details known as to the success of those troop movements, or even their purpose. Smoke of battle could be seen in the distance from Echad Eregion, as the troops returned quickly and without huge losses. However, with the invaders being supplied from south of the river, it is only a matter of time before an answering challenge will be heard. Who will protect the civilians living in the few settlements left in Eregion, and the refugees from lands further south that have recently moved in? It is only to hope that this force is the beginning of a greater involvement of the Elves in the war, and perhaps an outstretched hand to strengthen the bonds between Elves and Men.
