After delivering the letter, many questions ran through Eliad's head.
Did he take the correct action?
He knew of the risk that he took upon making the letter. However, he was not going to let those of his people that were innocent to be killed by cruel hands that were meant to be kind. Besides, he was careful of how he worded it, making it so that the others weren't involved. That he himself was the only one involved.
Would they even bother taking his word?
That was one of the difficult questions besides the first. As he have told someone else, they may not have heard of Eliad being a runaway and still the son of the elite family. However, what if they did know that? Would they have ignored his order or would they have followed suit, knowing that the action would make them traitors or outcasts, too?
How many would leave if they took his word?
He swallowed hard at that mental question to himself. Would there be only a fair few? Or a countless number to where that could be a small army? In his mind, it could possibly a few but it was kept as a mystery to him. Then there was a chance that some could perish along the way to wherever they may go somehow. Though, that thought scared him as well. He did not send that letter just to lead them to their deaths, damn it.
Would they have kept to his word?
He certainly would hope that they would keep to his word. Even though he had started out as being timid, Eliad felt as though he had become a bit more confident during the time he spent in Bree-land. And even if they do believe him to still be the young lord he had once fated to be in his house either knowing to be a runaway or not, they would still have to be loyal and keeping to his word. He would do what he had promised/threatened to do if they did not need to his word about their allegiance and future actions.
What if they had sworn allegiance to him?
That was the third difficult question. What if they did that? What if they had wanted to go with him when the day to travel back to Angmar in order to challenge his father arises? Could he possibly be, as one would say, leader material? Could he be strong enough to be the person that they could look up to? He knew that he had grown a bit confident during the course of time of being in Bree. However, he was not like Aeru at all. To him, Aeru had shown qualities that Eliad could possibly not have at all, perhaps not even in the future despite of already having future plans if and when he defeats his father.
Damn.... This is going to be one sleepless night....
