At the Wedding of Hutwig and Ysopa
Submitted by Lorayne on October 23rd, 2016
Lorayne crossed her arms as she watched her cousin striding across the grass to greet his bride and wife-to-be. Despite the joy and pride she felt for Hutwig, there was an uncomfortable feeling resting in the pit of her stomach. Here he was, her cousin whom she remembered when he was scarce but a pudgy little babe, tying himself down to a girl and trading his freedom for the shackles of marriage. Gran stood beside her, smiling yet unwavering in her steadiness.
Ray understood why her grandmother had still chosen to wear grey.
