Dreams or Memories

As soon as Eliad made sure that Cassiah and Jonnathan had left, he closed his eyes, drifting of to sleep.

************************************************************************************************************

In his dreams, he was close to a woman. She didn't...look like him save for the grey eyes. Other than that, she didn't look like the rest of the Angmarim. Though, she was really beautiful.

"You wanted to see me, Mother?" asked Eliad.

So that is his mother.

"Eliad, I wanted to see you in order to speak to you," said the woman. "You are unlike your father and sister. Now, that is both good and bad. It is bad because they might look down on you if they haven't already. But it is good because you are being who you are. Now.... There may be a day where I will be gone and not by your side. I want you to promise me to keep true to yourself, to be who you would want to be rather than someone make you be someone you are not."

"You're....going to leave me?" asked Eliad, his expression saddening.

"Not currently but one of these days," answered the woman. "I will always be by your side until my heart stops beating. And even then, I will watch over you. Promise me what I asked of you, though, Eliad."

"I promise, Mother...," replied Eliad.

The scene shifted to where he was inside a wardrobe in a bedroom, sitting. He looked up to his mother.

"Eliad, I want you to stay here until I get you," said the woman. "Several people are coming and when the time comes, I will get you out of this closet and we will leave. But promise me you won't leave this wardrobe."

"Yes, Mother," replied Eliad.

The mother closed the doors to the wardrobe. Eliad could only hear the door to the bedroom opening.

"Oh, it's you," came the mother's voice.

The next thing that was heard was a heavy *thud*  on the floor. The door was then heard being closed. Eliad had stayed put, just like what his mother told him. About half an hour later, the door opened again.

"Oh, gods, no," said an unfamiliar voice. "We were too late..."

"What are you doing here?!" came another voice, the voice Eliad recognized to be his father. "You killed my wife, you bastard!"

In his sleep, without realizing it, a tear slowly slid down his cheek and unto the ground.

"....Mom....," muttered Eliad in his sleep.
