Another disturbing letter

Greetings Mr. Nightwish, I am writing to you on account of Cassiah.  I have seen her walking through the dew kissed fields and exploring the deeper side of Bree-land.  Did I not warn you? She is at her fifteenth year now.  She has her Mother's boldness if I recall you even told her to stay in town correct? She pushes the envelope so to speak, dares to question your morals and motives.  You wonder how long she will love you? How long she'll be the little daddy's girl you so desperately want.  A future is what you want for her.. a bright future as any good Father would.  Tell me Lenny, how long do you think you could mourn? How long do you think you may be able to hide?  It's no secret that Mary left you for someone better; someone who understood the meaning of excitement.

Some things are best left forgotten yes my friend? I wonder if you will ever move on and if dear Cassie will see the truth and her path lead to us.. to me.  But you love her too much for that to happen.  I will continue to track her progress and yours, you just continue to be the loving Father.   We are similar you and I whether you wish to acknowledge it or not, I'll have you know that Mary is doing well.  I doubt I have to tell you just what she enjoys after all.. we both know her mind.  You just were reluctant to give into her desires.  I tamed her unlike you and she's as gentle as a lamb.  Enjoy your business working fire and metal, it will keep that roof of your head.  But it won't warm your bed.  You'd best be sure that Cassiah does not wander the chetwood anytime soon.  Do you know your daughter like I do? I've listened and watched more than you could do in a single day. Of course she smiles at you and wraps her arms around you, but I know she doubts she wonders.  She feels alone even in a sea of faces and wants to be protected, are you showing that protection? Or is it control that you are bringing her,  to keep her in the palm of your hand.  Tell me Sir do you fear her? Do you fear your own flesh and blood?  I know I would in a town like this.

Sincerely, one who listens.
