Having come to Celondim on request of my sister to aid a friend, I was of the chance to find a gathering for the Laermereth in these grounds. My surprise was, for all sureness increased upon seeing Elechir and Ornessar, the latter of whom I had known only by name, and who had with him a friend. Lady Avorwen, she was introduced to me.
Many of those who live within Celondim and Duillond were present, but many also had traveled from abroad; either with purpose for the event, or by mere chance to have come upon it.
It was a beautiful celebration by all accounts, yet in the way of this age was small. For each year that passes, these meetings grow more sparse in the numbers of their attendance, as my kindred leave from this place. I played often, until at last my repertoire of songs intended for dancing was used up. For they, as any dear to me knows; and any of insight who has heard me play can tell you, are not so dear to me as the more sober pieces that are as memories of the old days. Quiet like the rustle of the trees, yet powerful as the mountains. It was in this vain that I played before my departure, by request of Elechir who I would not refuse.
I left then, after many others had, in the company of those three whom I had been speaking to. Upon Anarórë beginning once more for the east, to make our journey back to Imladris. We rested often, and often I played for them by their request. It was an experience strange yet fond; for it has been many years since last I have traveled any distance not in solitude. Some part of me in my heart expected to grow restless in their company, yet such feelings never came. Perhaps the company of these westermore lands has begun to make me fond once more of these gatherings.
