How I came to know the Underfoots.

The Underfoots are a family of curious and rather adventurous hobbits. They are the product of events long since past (and better not to be spoken of in detail just yet) between the Proudfoots and Underhills. Both these influential families would seem to rather forget or conveniently ignore the fact they are related to this most interesting of families. Ruled by a strong and determined Matriarch, Grammy Underfoot, they moved to the Shire last year after falling on hard times. After seeking aid from their Underhill brethen they became a visible fixture in Michel Delving and continue to annoy the local populace at any given opportunity. Little is remembered of what happened to most of her immediate family nowadays though it is rumoured that her eldest son and daughter-in-law disappeared after having accumulated some highpriced debts (from gambling?) and leaving 3 children for poor "Grammy" to care for. The eldest child, Woldo Underfoot, a trainee Warden and honorary sherriff of the Shire. His strong protective streak sees him watching over his young sisters carefully. Twin girls, commonly known as "Berry" & "Merry" amongst their friends. Bushberry & Merilea (A shortened, corrupted form of Merillelea) wind up the family. Both are adventurous and independent women and though having taken different roads in their training, one may eagerly await developments as to what they get up to next. There is also the younger brother of the missing son,Highwise Underfoot, a lover of women and food both who seems to have a habit for getting himself into trouble whenever he ventures out. He does his best to care for his ailing family though perhaps he's not best cut out for such paternal duties.
