Well, this is just terrific. Had to get a new journal to write things down. Let me explain why.
As we were at Weathertop, it had been raining for what it felt like all day. Thankfully, we saw that Oak had come by to give us some news a bit. Afterwards, we took off from Weathertop, now having five in our group. As we had went, we were discussing of whether to stop by Ost Guruth to ask of any news that would lead us to Dem's whereabouts. We decided against it as it could perhaps cause attention and suspicion as well.
We pressed on to the Last Bridge at the Trollshaws. Sriva, who most likely haven't been to Rivendell before, had been rather...unsettled as she thought of what the elves would think of her. Oak offered her help though which had us to be thankful for. We rode on, not wanting for the night to come as the Trollshaws didn't get its name like that for nothing. Unfortunately for us, the rain still had continued, practically drenching us. So.... It would be safe to say that the journal that I had been using had gotten wet.
We traveled carefully up the hill from Bruinen due to the possibility of falling off and sustain injuries or worse, especially since the ground would be slick from the rain. We arrived in Rivendell after a while and had gotten around to taking our horses to the stables. Oak had told us that Sriva wasn't exactly the first Haradrim to ever been here in Rivendell. He had informed us that Dad tried to work things out for trade.
We went off to the Last Homely House to delve of what information we could get our hands on as far as directions go. If our travels continue to be like this, it would most likely have ourselves go to Eregion and even Moria. The architecture of the house still amazes me with even the statue of Elbereth.
We made our way to the library where we had walked down to the lower level. It wasn't long until Dad had come and scared the living crap out of me. Ghost wasn't exactly helping me either. After a failed attempt to make some sort of excuse, I had told him about searching for Dem. I felt like I was going to get grounded for sure due to leaving Bree-land again without a word.
The others had talked about what routes to take. I wasn't really paying attention, rather concerned of what judgment that Dad was going to give me. Thankfully, he knew that I had Sriva, Siofran, Oak, and Ghost with me and that I would probably be fine so he had decided to let me continue on with the journey. It all sounds good to say it like that, right? Well, I still had my punishment, which would be that I would have to delve into more studies once I get home.
After that exchange, it was to the point to where it was time for sleep. Sriva had gone on to rest. I retrieved the book that Siofran and the others were using to talk of the directions of the trip before Siofran took off. I watched as Oak walked away to sleep as well before going to my own room.
So here I am now in the guest room. I figured I would write these events down and hope to the Valar that it wouldn't rain again tomorrow. I best study the book more before going to sleep. It's rather fortunate to be in a rather safe place.
