Beloved,
I am able to write to you courtesy of Eirallyn, who wished to journey home and was kind enough to agree to go out of her way to deliver this letter. Annunghil has said that he also wished to include a letter and it is with this one, so hopefully you will have much news of your former kinmates. Most, if not all, are journeying south to join the defense of Mirkwood. Many of them I count as friends, so the Valley seems oddly empty and lonely now. I've been spending more time away from Imladris as a result. You needn't worry-my wild friends have been keeping me good company, though I will admit that company is lacking in certain respects...
Lord Elrohir says he will have work for me outside of Imladris eventually-most likely after my return from Celondim in the spring. My arrival probably won't be much later than this letter. At least I hope I will be able to leave soon... I am counting the days! I suppose I could have waited to simply speak to you, but I wanted you to know that I am thinking of you. It is hardest to bear at night in the house, so I've been sleeping under the stars quite a bit.
I hope that you find Celondim a congenial place and that you are comfortable, with work or interests to help you pass the time. I hate to think of you mired in boredom waiting upon me. I would wish you happy and content even in my absence. Eirallyn is capable of carrying much greater burdens than my last courier, but were I to write pages and pages, I fear they would all be upon the same theme-I miss you, I love you, I can't wait to see you again. As you know I have never been much of a wordsmith, I will spare you any further attempts to embroider upon those themes. So please, stay well, stay happy and I will be there as soon as I may!
Your loving,
Lilleduil
