I have been seeking him out, Lord Borimi. It has come to my attention that he is definitely located somewhere in Bree, I must find him swiftly. If I fail to find him first, no doubt the ruffians and crooks in this town will hold him for ransom, or worse. After years of searching, a dreadfully tiring road, my quest is nearly at its end.
On a side note, my search was delayed for a short period of time. A man by the name of Hardenion spoke of the ill fate of him and what I can only assume were his hunting buddies. Brigands killed them all and he fled to Bree. This occurred somewhere southwards in the ruins.
He led myself and another dwarrow whose name I never learned, to a fortified ruin located somewhere around Andrath, the cliffs and ruins south of Bree. The man was obviously drunk and mad with revenge. I quietly climbed up up the side of the ruin to look upon an entire encampment of these brigands. It was dark at the time, but I could still make out dozens of them milling about. The man who led us here was insane enough to sneak in and start cutting them up! Pure madness I tell you.
Hardenion rambled on about killing the leaders as he and my fellow dwarf cleaved apart the stragglers from the shadows. I stayed quiet throughout the whole thing, not drawing my weapon. Eventually we crossed a broken bridge, which he warned us to be careful about, before he fell from it likely breaking several bones. This man had the determination to get up and keep moving however. If I hadn't of come, by now the both would have knives in their backs, as I had only drawn my axe to cleave apart a few who had swarmed in on their flanks.
I kept telling them that we needed to leave, that we were just aggravating a nest of hornets so to speak, and eventually they relented and left with me as quickly as we had come, before they could rally against us properly. I am unsure that the ruffians saw me at all, they were far too focused on the other two.
This setback wasn't great however, as it was the middle of the night after all, and little happens during the late hours. I scolded the two, and went back to the Prancing Pony Inn, where I am now resting. Perhaps I should find that dwarf fellow again, I know he is staying around here somewhere. Perhaps he can help me find, Borimi.
