Barliman always impressed me with his sharp memory and after more than three years he remembered me as the swiftest messenger he had ever seen. I was a young fool before who hasn’t got any idea of a real world and I believe he saw the difference too. After giving me the room I always liked to stay in the attic, he came to see me…
He studied the ceiling for a while complained about the rainy season and the repairing he had to make before rains starts again. I leaned my back to the little window as waiting for him to come to the main point. He didn’t disappoint me and said “Look Kuzgun, I don’t like to stick my nose into people’s business” he stopped for a second than continued to his words “But, I believe you may help some of my friends.”
I nodded my head to make him continue.
He sighed softly “You grown up around… in Combe..” and I understood that he knew about me and my family. “I believe you knew the area quiet well yet you have been away for a while and you’ll be a new face for many…”
I smiled wryly as I get his implication and asked directly “Who do you want me to talk to Barliman?”
He breathed in relief “Constable Underhill” he said and added before he left the room “You can find him near the Comb and Wattle Inn".
