It was one of those rainy days, when I returned to Thamas Lorn with my report. Such a strange way to greet my home, my home, which is known for the most beautiful sunset in Middle Earth. Not even here things seemed to be normal. Although I was glad to see our Halls in the misty fog that cloaked the walls. My arrows were covered in blood, black raven blood. It made me think about that afternoon when I saw a cloud of black raven hasting above the barren lands of Lone-lands.
It was still quite heavy rain when the evening arrived. While I waited for Hirgonui and the Caun's I studied different maps from the Thamas Lorn map room. On I found had some markings corresponding to landmarks in Lone-lands. Not very surprising as my intuition said the same.

All the Caun's entered together with Hirgonui at the head. They filled the narrow Hall with a serious expression and presence. Cirdamir had also joined us, as he was known to have great skill in cartography and would prove invaluable in translating the map. Hirgonui gathered us all around the map-table and we started to discuss the map and the scribbles. We compared the map I found to other maps and came to the joint conclusion, it had to be the Lone-lands, but where? Cirdamir held up the map to the light and he found a very subtle, but distinctive watermark, another hidden place? This markings did not correspond to any of the landmarks to Lone-lands. Could it be a camp? a place where orc's would gather? Or even a place where something should be hidden. Hirgonui told us that the only thing he could associate the markings and scribbles were of Gundabad of which he had witnessed before in past conflicts.
Hirgonui reached a quick decision and charged Istuir to take several banners and meet the Ethiriath Ranger Culir at the outskirts of Lone-lands to investigate further, he is a very skilled archer and Ranger whom was one of my mentors when I was in trained.

An urgent muster was called and I gathered twenty five Ethiriath for my banner and once ready we departed. The fair maiden, deadly and strong-minded Alfiriel with a twenty five strong banner of wardens, Ephendir that would escort us safely to Culir's camp. Istuir, the serious and thoughtful Caun also with a twenty five strong banner of Wardens. Culir would also gather twenty five bowmen underneath his command.

It was not raining anymore the sun was setting, beautiful and peaceful.
Such a strong contrast to the task we were heading too..
