The day was full to say the least: wandering in an extremely hot hall, observing some of the people that were in there. I even saw a couple of ‘followers’. There are mortals even here? Strange…well, it did not surprise me too much. Not all of those strange people followed my kind around like wolves; some remained for a bit, and then vanished. They were their own people; they were not pets. I guess that seems to have changed, many ages later…
Gilryn is quite the energetic one, too. A shame that none of these people are putting him into use; they seem to prevent him from doing anything useful…I could find much for him to do; hunting, gathering…if I just knew the land well enough so we could go back to ‘Imladris’ afterwards. It might help him actually, with this strange grief he suffers. We cremated something a while back, in memory of his conceivers, All-Father guide their souls…Strange enough Gilryn seems far more comfortable around me than his own kind. I may not understand it, but am I not the strange one in this advanced society? Why then follow around a foreigner? I am grateful though that Gilryn is patient with me; a bit like Rendis…I wonder where she went off to.
It is not my concern anymore, I guess, especially since I have to be here and not away from the vale. It is much better than the outdoors; I will give it to them…On a brighter note, I have begun showing an interest…somewhat, to the place again. This second time being among my higher kin might actually prove successful, I certainly hope so.
