Chronicle Summary
A ranger with a certain past, or rather history, often speaks of tales and adventures that oft the Ranger will not be known for sharing, thus I will be the one doing the sharing. This chronicle, book, novel, will follow the story of Nenusidh and his first years in Angmar.
Chronicle Content
*You find a book. A book that looks dull, yet interesting at the same time. It has no color, and it must be aged with wear, yet you wonder whether that was intentional or not. Maybe, whoever has written this book decided to shift attention from a dull-book into that next book on the shelf, more bright of color and eye-catching. Nevertheless, you are wise to not judge a book by it's cover, or maybe curiosity drives you in this world. Either way, you open the first page where you see big bold letters of the title, before turning to the first page.*
Dyghus, the Great Strength
A Chronicle concerning a Ranger.
Written by a Narrator.
Prologue:
Now, let us not trouble ourselves with meetings and greetings. You are the reader, which is plain and simple, and I am a Narrator. Not 'the' Narrator, there is a strong difference with 'the' and 'a', a difference which I surely do not have to teach now, do I? Let us forget the potential need for you to learn a lesson in words, and the rich yet admittingly long well-needed knowledge of literacy, and grammar. If you are reading this book, then you're most likely one of the ignorant who does not know what Rangers are. Well! I can go on into great length, on the Rangers, and their history, and origins! But I shan't. That would be a book in itself, and come now, let us not dwell with all that unnecessary trouble. All you need to know is that Rangers keep you and your homes safe.
One particular Ranger, I shall speak of. One whom I've met in person, perhaps twice or thrice. He is a intriguing fellow, indeed. But the few meetings we did have were not fruitless nor brief, indeed! I shall go into great length onto this particular Ranger, and his particular duties. For the time-being, this particular duty is his duty in Angmar, and how he came there. The book shall reveal many things - the birth of Dyghus, his accomplishments, his pain and suffering, how he has changed and what has caused him to reside there for such a large portion of his life. An intriguing tale indeed, one of many intriguing tales in this Middle-earth, yet I am only one Narrator in this world and I cannot be expected to list all the peoples in our history, and their stories!
If you still read on, then you must be truly interested. Haha, I knew this would be so! This story is long, and most likely not a mere few chapters, and that is good, there is much to say and much that needs to be said. Of course, there's also much that has no reason to be said now. Before I begin formally, I must say that as a Narrator, it is my duty to write this as best as I can with my own two hands! I have gathered all the knowledge I could, but when that knowledge fails, I turn to other knowledge and other mouths. I know much, but I also know little. Now, let us begin.
OOC Notes:
- This will be a much more "scheduled" chronicle, and by this I mean, I shall post a chapter weekly, I have chosen that 'day' that it'll be posted weekly on to be a Monday, the same day that this chronicle has been created. I will continue to write and post chapters weekly, until the last chapter of this 'part' at least.
- This will be written in a third-person perspective, following the tone of a Narrator, and following Nenusidh in this way. This will the structure for all the Chapters that I have planned, but I may have 'interludes' or certain points where it switches to Nenusidh in a first-person manner.
- Last but not least, I hope you enjoy this chronicle and this storyline as much as I would have fun writing it.
