Road to Fornost
Task: Clear the path to the Trestlebridge.
Optional task: Capture the enemy.
Report: We separated at the bridge. Me and Sallfrid went to North, the rest of the group went to the East, towards the Nan Wathren. The task was to check the roads leading to to the Trestlebridge. So the journey began.
Both groups had horns in order to communicate in case of an ambush or an unexpected turn. Sallfrid is a recruit, barely can hold a weapon, but still I needed some assistance. We went along the road, checking every camp on our way. It looked like the roads were completely clear and there was no danger coming from the North. We decided to check the fields of Fornost, even though we were not asked to go that far. We checked every post to see if we were heading the right direction. Everything was quiet.
On the half way to Fornost Sallfrid hears the horn. Dea's group is attacked. We just started heading back as we were ambushed by the group of orks from different directions. Sallfrid noticed them first. He game me a signal so I was prepared. Sallfrid tried to reflect an attack but was immediately fallen. So I was fighting 1v5.
Fortunately for me, I knocked out 3 of the orcs and the rest ran away. I only used my fists. I helped Sallfrid to get up and also took two of the orcs with me. We were in a hurry as we didn't know what happened to Dea's group. Finally we all meet up at the bridge, They were barely alive, but survived. Dea paid us and then dismissed us, not willing to talk about the operation. We all quietly went back to Bree.
