First steps - choice is made

He stumbled and fell, trying to pick himself back up but finding himself to weary. Finding a boot contacting the side of his ribs.

"Get up! I said get up you cur!" The east-man yelled as he continued to beat Pellam, before pausing and looking to the man approaching them.

"If you beat a man, he has no reason to rise. If you offer him help up, he will rise and seek you as a friend."  The man spoke and offered his hand to pellam, who simply stared up at him before standing on his own.

"You are no friend, nor will you ever be. Speak your piece and leave me be." Pellam snapped at the well dressed eastern man. His hair was thick and black, trailing down just past his jawline. His brown eyes staring directly back into his.

"I am, Yilgtig, slayer of the bear. I am here to offer you a place among our people. A place among us, the sons of the spear." he offered a bow, then looked back up to him.

"Join us, find your way among our ranks and eventually take your place beside me, like your brother has. Grow strong, grow into a warrior that we both know you are meant to become... Do this, and we will let your companions live. Your brother is already meeting them, telling them of your ill deeds. Being a minion of darkness has those benefits. We've received word that one went especially well. The Blonde Maiden, the warrior. She apparently wishes to never see you again, how would you feel about this? His lips peeled back in a grin as he watched Pellam stand.

"You will not touch a hair on their heads! I will flay you alive if you touch her!" The Young Man snarled, trying to throw himself at the eastern man before him, only finding the arms of the guards and a boot to his leg.

"Your ferocity is truly admirable young one, but you would not even be a match for my children. We have scouts set upon them, should you join us I will call them away. They will remain happy and safe, for now. Your Fair Haired Maiden will live unharmed. You have my word." Yilgtig placed a hand over his heart and nodded.

Pellam sat upon his knees with is head lowered, knowing he'd never be able to return. He'd never be looked at the same way. He whispered his reply.

"If they are allowed to live, especially Her. Then I will join you..."

Yilgtigs lips peeled back in a wicked grin before nodding to the soldiers. "Pellam, will perish from history. When you stand, you shall rise as Sarab."
