I do hereby bequeath the sum of my wealth and possessions to my dearly beloved lass, Jenn, and my son Leofric as and where they may be found, other than the specified. What? were you expecting a proper document, sod off... the last thing you need is some filthy-blooded official snooping around with half the dodgy gear laying around all over the place... should you ever read this and I hope it's not neccessary, I felt the need to lay out the way of things should anything actually happen to me, but, the life I lead you never know, they keep trying though the bastards have never got me yet.
Anyhow... Seaver, I leave you the business, the dogs, and my estates in Rentry and Stagslade, do me bloody proud son, I know that I may hve not paid you much notice as a boy, for good reason and the scrawny little runt that you were but I can see a man made of you yet. Don't make a mockery of my faith in you, boy. My last wish, would be to cremated 'n my ashes scattered over the plains of the Folde, Rohan, where I was born... I don't want no big fuss, Delinor, as good as a sister in life to me... instructions lie in the other envelopes, burn them all once read. Now I've never been much one for words, or goodbyes, so there's not really much more I can say.
All my life I have fought, and there was a good chance that it would come to this eventually, I've had with some hard characters in my time as you well know and come out top dog with the best of 'em, I embrace the time when it does come and should the opponent be worthy enough of it, him too, for I am tired and bored with life, being a shell of what it once was, I left it late and only the joy of seeing my son grow up remains, and at least I do hope I will be around for that. I have killed so many, I am steeped in so much blood... I almost regret... Let my wife know of my wishes, goodbye lad.
- Siward, son of Aelfred.
