A nervous meeting

Caith was holding the pen over the paper of the letter she had written.  It was simple, just told him the address and that he was welcome. She wrote Milcrofts name on it and send it away. She knew he would come but when. And would Lyth accept this man on his lands. Caithrin did know she had no choice then let him come. It is his son after all, although Lyth has been more of a father then Mil.

They days passed on, they had started to decorate the new, bigger house. It was a lot of work ahead but slowly it started to become a home. Caith noticed that Lyth was happy and gave everything to make this as good as he could. It made her warm inside. She could now wake up in the morning and discover that Roy was not in hid bed and as she runs down stairs she could find Lyth sitting on the floor with Roy next to him, laughing and playing around. She could stay there and watch them as she feel happy tears fall down her cheek before she joined them. It was a big relief to have Lyth helping her with even the smallest of things under the day. And his love for her was indescribable. She did know about his pasted and did let him take all the steps in the relationship.

One day a letter came with Caiths name on it. He was on his way. In three days he would be here. Those three days Caith was really nervous. Not only for what Mil would do also what Lyth may do. They have been talking a lot about what happened and she know how he felt about him. So, the day came, Lyth had told Caith that Mil was not allowed in to the house. Witch she understood so she spend the day outside waiting for him with Roy playing in the grass. She noticed a change on Lyth to, she could not blame him really. She was nervous too. Soon Mil appeared on the road to the house. As he jumped off the horse she left Roy in the grass as he had found a flower to play with. She walked up to him and they talked. She told him to go and play with his son as they had agreed and so he did. Roy was happy to see him again. That happy child, he just don’t know what happening around him. Mil continues to speak to Caith as he holds Roy. Caith tries hard to remain calm as she again explains the same things she already had said. Mil lets Roy down in to the grass again and walks up to Caith. As she listens to him she more and more think that he is not here for Roy but for her. She lets him hug her. She hear how this is too much for Lyth, maybe he have noticed the same as her. He walks up to Mil and says it is time to go but he needs to talk to him before he leaves. Caith decides that is too much for a child to hear. So she left the men to talk and walks inside with her son. The feeling in her chest was hurting like a knife. Soon Lyth came in after them. It was all good again. They went to bed and Caith did fall in to sleep fast that night.
