((This is a statement written by Arenborn for the watch, and given to Danwick. Written in a neat script))
I was in the Prancing Pony inn at the bar getting a drink, when these two men were ordering this young woman about. She looked quite poor, didn't even have shoes. They told her to buy them more drinks, so she came over to the bar where I stood with another lady, though I didn't catch her name, I believe the Watcher I spoke to saw her as well.
The lady asked the poor woman why she let the men treat her in such a disgusting manner, to which the reply was along the lines of "They own me." Both I and the lady were appalled by this. She then claimed to not have enough coin to buy the drink, and all but begged the lady to get it for her. The lady, then approached the men, telling them to at least pay for their own drinks when they make the girl buy them. They laughed at this, and talked about how she did have the coin as she kept theirs.
The rest was hard to follow, but it seems they claimed that they did give the girl money but she lost it or spent it, or sold her shoes. But why anyone would sell their shoes without good reason is beyond me. I would say they are taking money from her more than giving her money. The way they treat her makes that seem highly likely to me.
They kept talking rudely too her, treating her badly, despite the woman's diplomatic intervention and my slightly more aggressive one. I confronted the man, Shemm I think they called him, and another man, who the Watcher would also be able to recognise, joined me. The Watcher warned me of aggressive behaviour, but I could not stand by while they acted in such a way.
That is all to my best recollection, though if more details are needed I will be available.
