Tales of a Dalish Tailor - Page 5

Dear Diary,

I've met another few people today! Today, I met Dryn, his father--mister Goldgel--as well as a few of his siblings and one of his uncles, mister Maldam.

What an interesting family Dryn has! He has an older sister, Erimyl, two younger sisters, Lillian and Rose, a younger brother, Caleb, and, as it seems, a niece, Violet by name. Violet is, as I've been told, Erimyl's daughter... I've yet to meet Violet, actually.

I have also learned that Mister Gold is a noble, and owns quite a grand estate. It is very well decorated, something I do enjoy seeing.

I wonder how Dryn is able to keep up with such a large family... I do not know if I ever could, though I am staying here for the time being.

Mister Gold is a very kind man, especially for allowing me to stay here at his estate... and I've learned that mister Gold is not only an illusionist, but a seer as well! Mister Gold, er... peered in on my memories... to find out why I'd come to Bree... instead of simply asking... oh well, I suppose he has some reasons for it.

I did not know it was mister Gold until after I'd had this one... very odd headache, almost as if it were from an intruder in my mind... and after I'd willed the feeling away...

... the feeling disappeared... and I looked over at mister Gold and mister Maldam, who was there at the time... and the way mister Gold looked at me...

... he knows what I went through.. he knows it as he and mister Maldam went through it too... he's experienced what I've experienced...

We all survived to tell the tale...

Different families and areas, yes, but...  it was essentially the same... the same abuse from the same family member... I cannot help but feel thankful, for I am among fellow survivors...

I never knew I was not alone, in surviving...

I am glad I know it now...

Now, I should go; it has been a long, though interesting, day and I am sure tomorrow will be as well. I will need .y rest, since that is the case...
