Report - Blood Trodden hooves

In the late evening of the tenth day, fo the seventh month, a dead man was found in the rear lounge of the inn. Friends of the departed reported that his death was caused by being trampled to death by a horse of ample size. Shortly after finding the body, and returning to gather evidence relevant, a woman was found, speaking to one of the friends of the deceased (Pencot). This man then stated that the woman, had been stalking the departed in the hours leading up to the event that ended his life, the victim himself saying before his last breath, it was indeed, that woman.

The woman was taken into custody, and is being detained as more evidence is collected. The following Evidence was gathered by Constable John Fledger (Jorich)

In your absence and naught but a wily  prisoner and a rotting corpse to keep me company, I took the liberty of examining the latter.
-The victim was strangled to death with his own necklace.
-The ample blood on the body was caused by a pierced lung. One of his ribs was broken, and there was a hoof-mark on his chest. It looked recent enough, and probably incapacitated him, leading up to his murder.
-The body was littered with horsehair of a golden brownish color. Note that manes were found between the victim's fingers, most likely being the result of resisting being dragged of his horse.
-He suffered a dislocated shoulder before he died, relocating it himself as the bruises on his arm match the size of his own fingertips. It's probably the result of falling from his horse.
-The ravens outside seem to share special bond with the deceased. I took the corpse outside and the biggest of the unkindness of ravens sat atop of him, not even trying to feed off of the corpse.

Seeing how I was especially bored that day, I talked to the prisoner as well. Her list of tall, unlikely tales pile up. When I removed her shackles, I discovered her wrists were bruised as if someone had been pulling down on them. She had multiple explanation (from falling from her horse, to escaping from bandits) but none seemed plausible. Note that the bruised wrists would make sense for someone that was resisted while strangling someone from behind. Further more, when I brought the raven up to her cell, I was unable to contain it. The raven seemed tame enough but attacked the woman with an uncharacteristic hatred. (I think we did well in keeping her) I had Appledore patch up the minor wounds she suffered. That concludes my report, yadida.. don't get used to these, I just found this case too interesting to pass up
