Diminuendo The Sound-Cutter
Residing in the Gray Havens for several centuries, the famed Elven Blade 'Diminuendo' is said to be so sharp it can cut even sound itself. Earning it's name in The Dagor-nuin-Giliat (The Battle under the Stars) in the First Age, tales tell of the great Beast Graul's terrifying howl as it attacked the Noldor encampment, and how the sword silenced the ferocious brute's battle-cry from the air itself and allowed the Elves to rally and slay the monster as a result.
Gifted to Brinhelm Halladin by the Elves of Ered Luin as a thank you for several beautiful performances he provided, the sword now travels on the Bard's hip.
