This is Thirenel's (Zagzeroth's) most sought after relic, crafted during the first age during the height of his crafting ability.
((The runes spell out Tatharcrist the Morn Ithil in dwarvish, these would be added onto the scabbard only after Zagzeroth finds it again {Hasn't yet} by his dear friend and ally Daggnabin Thunder-Smith of Khazad-Dum a Master of Rune-craft and Jeweler extraordinaire)).
