Background
Gwaewiel wasn't named daughter of the wind for nothing. She always was a free roaming soul, not content to stay in the confines of her homeland. Her parents were born in Doriath, then relocated in Ossiriand where they led a relatively happy life, far from the wars of Beleriand.
When most of that region sank after the War of Wrath, they moved to live with the silvan elves of Eryn Galen, and had a daughter, Gwaewiel. However, they decided to finally take the journey West after the darkness claimed Greenwood.
Gwaewiel is ever eager to explore the world around her, though her wanderlust means her dwelling in Thranduil's Halls is more often than not occupied only by dust. She has a special affinity with birds, who help her find currents and her dream is to one day chart the map of all winds of the world. She likes to talk about the weather, never finding it a dull topic and one of her catchphrases is "I go where the wind takes me"
