It's been an enjoyable few months, revisiting Lothlorien after all this time, and exactly what I needed after the departure of my former fiance`. For it is hard to remain spurned and sour among such wonder and beauty as one finds here in these woods.
Even with the tensions felt by all concerning the troubles in the South, things here are peaceful. My hosts have been most gracious, providing me with comfortable shelter and bountiful food and drink for the duration of my stay.
I have spent much time writing new melodies and songs, inspired by the seemingly endless serenity of the forest. I had almost forgotten how the thick canopy of trees and leaves causes music to reverberate and echo through them, sounding even sweeter than one could hear elsewhere.
Yes, the majesty here is not easily measured, and I have found peace once again despite my heartfelt loss. Still, it is time to depart, and return to my life as I left it. I have sent word to Rumtum to make ready for my return home, and in two days I will leave here and make my way back to Bree.
I have spent long enough tending to my own troubles, and there are those elsewhere with even greater woes than mine in need of aid.
