Journal Entry 26 - The Misty Mountain Campaign
The Maethor gathered at the Spire of Meeting along with those of Bar En Vanimar who were to accompany us alongside the elves from the Greenwood. There also seemed to be a few other eldar who had heard of the misfortune of the Greenwood elves and wished to help. It had been a long time since Imladris had seen such a gathering of the Eldar.
I was pleased to see the maethor of our company had come well prepared and in good order, their arms and armour well maintained. I was very surprised to see that Thendryt Morson one of the Tiri Daethor had answered the call from Hiril Elisbeth and had rode from the Coldfells. I see this being a testing time for Thendryt among so many of the Eldar. Our company is used to travelling with elves and menfolk for indeed we are very used to each other. But the same cannot be said for those we were to travel with.
Lastly came the arrival of Lord Veryacano who was to lead the joint venture and the Lady Elisbeth. Once they had arrived it was time to head north and east out the vale to once more venture into the frozen mountains.
One thing I was sure of it would be very different from any patrol before for we were going afoot.
