War in the North: White-Hand: Prologue Part II

As the night went on, the weather grew worse. Rain falling like buckets from the sky and most things became hard to walk on. Men with lynx like eyes along with orcs wandered about the ruins of Ost Alagos. A small group was walking through the ruins, weaving between the orcs and half-orcs as they crossed over the bridge; the hooded man with his blonde beard showing in the lead as the four club wielding men followed behind.

Sitting upon an old stool by a dying fire, constantly fed to try and keep it burning, was a half-orc. He was dressed in armour with a sword he was sharpening in his hand, a smirk on his face as he saw the five.

"Who are these lot then? Intruders..? Thieves..?” The half-orc, Thiz, stood up from his seat and wandered over to the group. Before long a smaller half-orc ran up and whispered something to him...

"I am Uan Arrowwood. Your boss.. and if you do not like that, then say now and I can rid you of your work and have someone else work in your spot.” Uan spoke out with a small grin, pulling back his hood. At his words one of his brigands readied his club and took a few steps forward, grabbing onto the captains shoulder.

"N-no, boss. What brings you here to our camp anyways?” Thiz spoke out as he pushed the brigand away from him.

"Your supplies.. well my supplies, but the ones you have been getting. Where are they?”.

"Over there. Not much around that have interested us.. no use really.”, Thiz spoke out as he pointed to a small pile of crates filled with bad weapons and wheat.

"That's it? THAT small pile of crates.. is what you have gotten for me in the last.. three moons?”

"Yes, boss. Like I said, not much aroun-” Thiz was cut off halfway through by a shout reaching his ears.

"Not much around?! You have one more chance! If not, then you will find your head thrown to the wolves that lie close by! Raid what ever you have to in the Lone-lands if you must! ARMOUR, WEAPONS and FOOD! Remember those things.. if not, your hide will be making my next chestpiece.. understood?!”

"Yes boss.. we will send out a few scouts right away!” Thiz gestured about the camp, and before long ten half-orcs dressed in black robes and leather with daggers and bows appeared lined up infront of Uan.

"You.. you lot will head out and search every camp that belongs to us and those that don't.. you will get what we need before we move to the Green hills.. now go!”

The half-orcs all nodded before they headed off in a jog over the bridge and down the mud path, heading off into the dry lands of the Lone-lands..
