I write this entry sat atop Talan Tirith, the flet where I spent many a year alongside Tinuvinil, serving our Lord and Lady, and homeland. I am delighted to finally be home. I was pleasantly surprised to find Tinuvinil was to journey with us. It seemed he had seen to the business that would have otherwise delayed him. He brought a companion with him also, Lady Mithanor.
I have met her before, at the gatherings in Lord Elrond's home. I find her very pleasant. She dances beautifully and has a singing voice that one can only dream of. She has been in low spirits as of late. Tinuvinil thought her returning home with us would do her the world a good. It was pleasant to have another lady around to pass the journey with. My nephew Lahdir and my beloved also accompanied us.
The journey was more perilous than we anticipated. It seemed the Gap of Rohan was blocked, therefore we had to make the tough decision of passing through the Mines. I did not like the idea at all, but t'was the only way. I find the place most foul. We were there for days, making our way through. We encountered many horrid creatures, especially Yrch. The foul beasts fell to our bows and javelin. They breathe no more. I shall not forget the stench. The Mines of Khazad Dum are large, but I felt claustrophobic in there. How much I desired to be outdoors; to look upon the Mallorn trees, to gaze up at the sky of blue once again. Luckily no major setbacks occured.
We finally arrived at Dimril Dale. Much joy I felt within my heart when being able to take that glorious first breath of fresh air. We were so keen to pass the Border; Tinuvinil and I mounted our horses, that had made the journey outside of Moria safely, and galloped there. We were both grinning from ear to ear, we even laughed. We were so happy to be home. I daresay the Lady Mithanor thought we were mad!
I am happy, so, so happy. I have met with old friends once again and took a walk with my love through Cerin Amroth. The company parted to see to their own business and explore. Later on we met up with Lahdir in Caras Galadhon, then ventured to The Hythe to meet with Tinuvinil. Currently, Andarne is in the city, Tinuvinil is below me, down the ladder, and Lahdir has gone to join in the revelry of The Hythe. I am unsure as to where Mithanor has gone, but from what I have seen of her, she seems far happier. I hope this is the case.
In just a couple of weeks. I am to be wedded. Oh it has come so quickly! I am thrilled beyond comprehension. It will be a joyous day indeed. To be bonded with my love, it will be a dream.
