Now well enough for battle again, Perdolreth tells Lord Elronds guards she intends on retrieving her ring from her captives. They also robbed her of good elven armour while she was being held but for whom she was unclear of... She remembers hearing a few of the guards' joke about whom they were going to sell her off too. Isengard needed slaves but for what and who was the one paying this filth? Looking down at her sword she thought of the times her father spoke to her about Isengard in the days before she left her homelands and how he did not seem to trust the White wizard. He said to her, "Don't go to Isengard alone ever. If you must travel through the lands keep your sword out and your bow ready." She may have an answer for Lord Elrond about Goblin Towns keepers. Though the goblins were to the elves of Rivendell, not a threat. They can be taken and put under the sword easily, she heard one say. While she was there she thought she heard more than the goblins in those tunnels. Uruks at times are known to be backup for the goblins when needed...Mirkwood had their issues with them all.
Gathering her things she packed up and headed to the main door of the last Homely House. Now being kindred with the Rivendell elves she felt it was her way of helping them out by keeping all who live in Rivendell safe from the filth that lives in the Misty Mountains. Battling Goblins alone would not be a wise decision but she knew there were few left to help. Getting rid of the goblins was one thing that would help. Little did Perdolreth understand that this was just a drop of what was to come to the elven lands.
She made her way to the path that started up the Mountian. Having an uneasy feeling about Goblin Town made her wish she could just forget about the ring. It maybe the only thing she has left of her family she did not want to lose it. It was also proof of whom she was... She promised never to lose it.
Reaching the hill side of the path up the mountain way Perdol spies a large Drake. Covering herself in her cloak she rides on and up the path. Holding onto the side of her horse the drake sees her horse but makes no move towards it. Holding her breath she reaches the top of the path and looks down to see the drake still sitting at the bottom of the hill. Perdol sighs, "thinking to herself she hopes he stays there."
After sneaking up the hill, still holding onto the side of her trusty horse "Sweetpea", Perdol dismounts and continues on her path to the stable master. She thought Sweetpea could use a breather too. That was too close a call sneaking past the nasty Drake... She and Sweetpea finally reach Vindurhal. Lucky for them both there is a hot fire going for Perdol's horse. Perdol speaks to one of the dwarves and asks if Gloin and his band of dwarves had made it up to the north high pass? He tells Perdol that Gloin has made camp just outside of the Black Crack just in front of the goblin's cave. She thanks him for giving her this news. Now she can repay her captures and find her ring.
She and a few of Gloin's company enter Goblin town cave and begin their battle with the goblins... the dwarves split away as they continue their way through cutting down wargs and many goblins. Perdol tells them she will meet back up with them after she is finished in the slave pens. One of the dwarf guards nods and continues his smacking a goblin to the cave floor. Perdol can still here their battle cries as she heads for the slave pens. Smiling at the tone of their voices... she enters the slave pen. With her bow drawn ready to take on the jailors one by one as she makes her way through...
After a long hard battle, she finds a few elves and releases them so that they may return to Rivendell. She looks down at one of the jailors and kicks his side to be sure they are dead. His body rolls over and under him is Perdol's ring...kneeling down she picks it up and rubs off the dirt and places it back on her finger. Then looks back at the goblins head and pats him while saying under her breath, "told you I'd be back for it". She meets back up with Gloin's company, all are well, and bloody but of course none of the blood is theirs which is a good site to see these days. Laughing and singing they all head out. Perdol turns to look back with an unsure feeling about the cave. She hopes they have stopped the goblins in this area. Hope, is all we have this day. She heads for Gloins camp smiling as she looks at her ring.
