And Spring is quite near
Let's go to the Dragon
And toast it with beer!
The sun's in the sky
There's ale in our hands
Let's drink up the beer
As Spring warms the land
But don't stop the toasting
There's more than just Spring
We'll raise up our glasses
To many a fine thing
We all stand together
Or sit on the chairs
There's reason to cheer
And ale's everywhere
Let's drink to the birds
That sing in the trees
And toast all the rabbits
Or quaff to the bees
The sheep and the cattle
Are worthy of ale
And as are the dormice
Or even the snails
An ale for the moonlight
An ale for the stars
Let's hail all the travellers
That come from afar
A toast to the market
A toast to the fair
We'll drink the fine beer
With never a care!
But have we forgotten
The best one of all
That's worthy of ale
Inside our fine halls
So raise up your glasses
Before the night ends
And with warm intentions
Please toast to your friends
