Piles of Paperwork

It's been several days now since I brought Althessia to the festival, and as I lay her down to sleep, I wonder if it was the wisest decision. It had been a lot of fun, showing her everything, but shortly after we returned she came down with a nasty cold. Despite being a healer, the sight of my own daughter sick and crying makes me scared inside. She's finally getting over it, but I now know the meaning of fear.  I will have to be more careful in the future.

Now that she's in bed, I can brew some tea for myself and get to work on the ever growing pile of paperwork.  Expired contracts, current contracts, supply orders, delays ... it takes up what little time I have when I'm not taking care of the baby.  At least it keeps me busy and occupied - a fact I can hardly bemoan, when I loathe being idle so much.

I went to see the widow Rossiath again. Her woes make mine seem trivial by comparison, for the loss of her home will be a blow to her.  I've an idea who I wish to speak to about it, but I cannot until he returns from his trip in Frostbluff.  I only wish they had returned earlier, for I could use Immalaine right now. As it is, I will have to bring Althessia out this evening - I've a meeting that I cannot miss.

Yet another stack of papers, does it ever end? Invoice, order, order, bill of sale, requisiton form, komatsu ...

KOMATSU!!! I have a letter from him?!?!
