Greetings Aurineth,
Your letter was most welcome for I have sent messages for aid and reinforcements in the last fortnight. You may consider this report also as such.
The situation grows dire. Our provisions grow short as our usual delivery has been delayed by or lost to the recent winter storm. Also, one of our scouts was due two days ago to bring word on the recent rise in goblin activity. He is ever punctual and has never failed to return. His fate as of now, we do not know. Neither can we risk sending more scouts to meet that same fate for our numbers have always been few. The goblins no longer scout on their own, but always in numbers and with wargs. It is impossible to catch them alone, and we are more likely to be ambushed. If the goblins continue to grow bolder in advancing from their caves, we will be forced to abandon this outpost. Tell your ambassador that our situation grows worse and more precarious by the day. We are hard pressed and await the generosity of the Lord Ambassador and his House.
Aeglas
