The battle of Fornost - part IV

"It was as our rider reported. A month after the fleet was sighted, we saw the sails of the large Gondorian ships at the horizon. Ship after ship sailed into the harbour, with seemingly no end. A part of the fleet even had to unship his troops and supplies near the coast, for the harbour could not hold any more ships! Soldier after soldier came down the walking plank, all clad in their polished steel armour, holding large shields and long spears. They even brought their famous horses with them! He was truly a royal figure, one that demanded respect from all that saw him, one that offered kindness to those he swore to protect. He would lead us to victory, we were sure of that."

"Soon after the arrival, the gathered army of Eldar and Atani set out, ready to crush any resistance that we would meet. Though this time, simply defeating the Angmarim army would not suffice. The reign of the Witch King had to end, once and for all, in order to rid Eriador from its filth and horror. And we, the unified armies of Elves and Men, would make sure that this would happen..."
