Eregion, years before its fall.
An house's garden on the outside of the city. A group of friends were reunited together to celebrate the coming of age of one of them.
Two were playing music for the others, Laurelindo and a brunet elf, another bard student, while one was serving (and tasting) wine for the others.
Among them, Tyulussë, drinking and laughing with others, dancing with, it seemed, every elf in the garden, calling for songs every time another just ended.
At one point, Tyulussë called for a song that made Laurelindo chuckle, and made the other minstrel frown in confusion :
"What is he speaking about ?
-Oh, just listen, you'll see."
Laurelindo borrowed the other minstrel's lute and started a song, quickly joined by Tyulussë in the singing, making one or two elves blush brightly and look at them horrified while the others were laughing.
"Who... I didn't. Never... Stuttered the other minstrel.
-New drinking song, music by me, lyrics by drunken Tyulussë over there." Laughed Laurelindo, starting others, well known this time, songs of more or less good tastes about... Merry elves, his fellow musician soon joining him, and they went as far as singing a few dwarven drinking songs as well.
"How did you even get the lyrics of that one ? Asked an elleth among their friends.
-That, Lovely, is for me to know...
-We got a dwarf drunk !" Laughed Tyulussë.
Laurelindo chuckled as Tyulussë started to dance again, totally not in time with the music.
----------------------------------
On the morning, Laurelindo found himself sat on the floor, throwing a disgusted look at a cheerful Tyulussë.
"You spent the night drinking ! How can you now be so... So cheerful and anxious to go to work ?! Groaned Laurelindo.
-Call it talent. Come on now, time to make use of the daylight ! Singsonged Tyulussë.
-No way ! I am perfectly happy to stay here for a few hours !
-Don't stay awake at night if you can't go on as usual the day after, young one ! Teased Tyulussë amused.
-I can. I just chose not to, old one. Smirked Laurelindo while getting up finally.
-Who are you calling old ?!
-The elf too serious for his own good ! Learn to live a little and let me be lazy if I so wi... ick !"
Laurelindo ended up in the fountain behind him with a sound of surprise, getting promptly out of the water with a threatening glare to his friend.
Said friend who started running with a laugh as Laurelindo jumped after him, admittedly to get him soaked too or, if possible, share with him the joy of fountain diving.
Their laugher and mutual teasing startled awake more than one of their friends that early morning.
