The Three-Farthing Stone - the huge road marker near Bywater - is said to mark the center point of the Shire. What better place to learn a little of the history of our beloved hobbit lands?

Did you ever wonder how the Shire came to be? What are the responsibilities of the Thain and the Mayor? Does the Shire have a militia? What the heck is a Farthing anyway? These, and other questions, will be answered at the Three-Farthing Stone. Come join us this Sunday for an evening of stories, poetry, songs and pie!
OOC details:
The event will combine a few lectures/stories of hobbit lore with musical performances and entertainment. Given the subject matter, this is a hobbit-preferred event. However, the odd dwarf or longshank seeking knowledge of hobbit lore won't be chased away. People are encouraged to listen raptly to the given lectures, and save debate and dialogue to the breaks! But most important of all - come to enjoy yourselves!
