A Far Away Adventure

Let us open the front door tomorrow
And start to then walk down the track
But unlike on previous mornings
This time there'll be no turning back

And if we arrive at the river
We won't be afraid now to cross
We'll carry on strolling by water
No concern about us getting lost

Although we may come to the ocean
And take our first glance the sea
We can gaze at the endless blue ripples
That stretches as far as we see

On the beach we will hope there's a boat
That's moored by a rope in the sand
So together we'll bravely set sail
To far away magical lands

We soon may arrive at a coastline
And alight on exotic new shores
The warmth of the ocean may startle
Yet soon we may wander once more

Through fields and orchards and meadows
All paved in a much deeper green
We'll stroll in the wonderous sunlight
Enthralled by the picturesque scene

And then we can walk through a forest
That's full of the tallest of trees
Some may be as wide as our houses
And as ancient and old as can be

We'll walk to the top of a mountain
Whose peaks may be covered in snow
On rocks we can stand and then marvel
In awe at the valleys below

We shall hear the splashing below us
Of water it falls down the hills
It will sparkle like diamonds in sunlight
And thunder and splashes and thrills

There'll also be pools full of water
That bubble from deep down below
So clear and warm and delightful
We'll sit and then dip in our toes

But soon we may start getting weary
For long and for far we will roam
And so with the greatest reluctance
We can turn and then make our way home

And returning back home to your family
Where everyone there is so glad
And then you can happily tell them
Oh my, what an adventure we've had!
