Farewell.... My dearest Nana

I found you alone on the street,
And where everyone looked away... I came towards you.
You just wanted someone to care, and I did so.

Ever since you have lived in that house, and you always had it ready when I came by.
You never cried or got angry... you always smiled.
You made sure I was safe and happy and wrote me often.
 

Four months you have waited for my return... And when I did.. you hugged me with tears in your eyes.
I will never forget what you said ''Welcome home my dear boy... I have missed you''

You were always there for me when I felt down.. even though we weren't family, you always considered me your grandson.
I am sorry I never told you who I truly was but it was for your safety. 

And now you are gone. 
Old age took you from me and brought you to a better place. I am alone now, but I will always carry your wisdom and kindness with me.
Please watch over me from wherever you look down upon me.
