Personal Records; Entry 37

This is a Letter

Last night, I entered Lothlórien, and brought my charge to the Lord and Lady.

They were most pleased, and asked if I had viewed the contents. I replied "No, I have not; but I will endeavour to do whatever they tell me to do."

My duty finished in this regard, I bowed and made to leave...but I almost forgot; for I turned back to Galadriel and spoke to her. "M'ilady, in years past, when I left these lands, you said to me that I would find happiness in your garden.

I wonder, now, if you forsaw my betrothal, and are giving me permission to be wed, in there?" She nodded, and replied "It is so, my friend. Go with my blessing, visit it now, if you must; and look forward to the days of your marriage. I may attend, and grant you boons.

I now have time to spend at home; or should I hasten to Eriador? My love is no doubt worried for me, and I wish to see her so much.
