It was a beautiful morning, Thalanil and the rest of the scout patrol was preparing to go out on patrol in the great Greenwood. It seemed to be a normal patrol, something that they had done several times but this day would not be like any other day.
At first looks the forest was quiet and calm, a deer here and there the ran away when they came. The patrol seemed to be a regular one but after two hours into when they had reached the Scuttledells they ran into trouble, eight legged troubles. Thalanil and the others started to fight, swords, daggers and arrows were used, high up in the trees they fought against the spiders and for a time it looked like they would drive the spiders back. That was before more spiders came to aid their brothers and sisters
During all this commotion, Thalanil got separated from his friends and took a blow from a spider, feeling the spiders venom entering his veins as his feet lost their footing on the branch and he fell from the tree towards the ground, getting caught up in webs before hitting the ground hard, still the impact would have been harder if it had not been for the webs around him but it was enough to knock him out, and out he was for a long time, his body took care of the venom and after a few days he woke up, not familiar to where he was.
He then began to wander around in the Greenwood, sometimes catching a faint voice in the air as it seemed familiar to him but at the same time not but he decided to follow the voice but lost it and got himself more lost. For thousands of years he wandered around in Middle Earth, not really sure who he was as he came to Celondim and settled down there until one day he was handed a letter with his name on it, as he opened it and started to read it his memory slowly came back to him, for that letter was from his sister that had been in Celondim a couple of weeks before while he was out hunting. He packed all his belingings, his precious bow and quiver with arrows that Glanlotiel, his sister had made him when he joined the army and left for Bree as she had written in her letter to him that he could find her there.
So after a journey from Celondim, through the Shire he came into Bree land and its major city of Bree. The city's wall and West gate came closer for each step he took, hoping to finally find his beloved sister again, hoping she would recognize him. His heart pumped faster and faster for every step closer to the Inn of the Prancing Pony he came and when he had reached the top stair and placed his hand on the door handle to open the door, his heart was pumping so fast Tahiti it would probably been heard by every elf in Greenwood if he had been there.
He opened the door and walked inside, his robe ragged and dirty, mud covered his face, still his quiver and bow felt good on his back, his hood covered his face as he peered around the hall, hoping to find someone he knew and found a elf sitting by the door on the floor and made his way over "Mae G'ovannen" he said as he greeted the other elf, and when her voice greeted him back he knew that he had found her, still careful not to give him self away, he kept his hood up and sat down. As the two talked a bit with each other he would start to look over the fletching on his arrows as she went to get him some food "That is not important now" she said once she returned with food to him "It is for me and the person who gave me these arrows" he replied, hoping she would recognize his arrows.
She did just that and asked "Would you mind to remove your hood?" and so he did and when she saw who he was, he knew he was home where he belonged as they embraced each other as a brother and sister would.
He knew then that he would not be let out of her sight and that was fine with him..for she was after all his only family he had left.
