A letter to my Auntie

Dear Auntie Ethel

I am sorry you are feeling poorly. Mum and dad say you are not up for visitors so I asked them to bring you this letter. I miss them but by the sounds of things, you need a lot of help right now!

I am well, I still work for the Scholars who have been good enough to give me parchment and ink when I ask for it, I am writing from their place in Bree right now, mum says they need a good clear out as they have too much stuff, I reckon its wonderful in there! I have been asking them more questions since meeting new people at the Pony.

One of the people I met is a right nice man from Gron ... Gondor, he tells me it is a long way away, further than where you live up in Trestlebridge. He’s handsome and clever, and gave me the prettiest dress I have ever seen. I love him Auntie, my tummy gets that funny feeling and my head spins. A lady I know told me that was love, though I aint ... haven’t told mum and dad yet, just that he is a nice man I know who makes a fuss of me. I need to head off to deliver something, looks like a big bag of stuff, and they are waiting for me right now. I love you auntie, I hope you feel better soon, I will send mum and dad with another letter next time!

With love, Little Bloddy
