Regret
The latest crime scene was revealed... At Dagramir's favourite place to spend his time... That fact alone was one to tear at his heart, but it didn't help that he knew the next victim personally... It was Francheska... The woman he had tried so desperately to save. She was placed in the middle of the ruins, looking as peaceful as ever, as if she was just asleep... But he knew once he saw the red face painted onto the wall, he had failed his task...
He moved towards her, his friend Jegauer doing his best to comfort him, but he couldn't help but feel his knees tremble... He dropped down next to her, and let out a roar, the sound of a wounded animal filling his lungs... Jegauer saw his pain, and let him have a few moments with her, while he moved off, investigating further. Dagramir nodded slowly at this, before resting a hand over the bloody heart that the woman had, and closed his eyes, murmering a little message in Sindarin, hoping that her spirit would hear him, "I'm sorry, Francheska... I failed you... I wanted to protect you, but in the end... You died for my mistakes... I promise you, I will avenge your death, and your memory shall live on forever...".
He finished his prayer for her, and stood up slowly, regaining his strength. The 'Ripper' had just made this very personal indeed, and something in Dagramir had snapped. This meant one of two things for the killer.. Either the 'Ripper' had gotten his way... Or he had just made his final mistake..
