Keeping a promise, part 2

Oh, Ullas.. such a stubborn lad... a shame that he had to tear his own intestines out to end his suffering... after we sliced his stomach open from side to side.
We did free him, as promised.. but this was most likely not what he had in mind.
We feared a burial site might have been discovered, thus we fed him to the wolves.

In the end, I was right. Endure enough torture, and you'll talk..
Ullas confirmed our suspicions, Daellas was murdered by someone... or by the orders of someone, no orc raid as that lying Thane tried to make us belief.
Though he didn't know as much as we had hoped. All he cried was look for the dark skins... the dark skinned...
And now we shall, I have heard some rumors of a merchant party passing through the land. Perhaps they have some information to share concerning other outsiders..

I've already dispatched some of my men to waylay them before they reach the open fields..
Another group has been dispatched to hamper the advancing orcs in the east.
My forces are spread too thin for my liking, I have to be more cautious in the time to come. But I cannot continue my quest with orc armies marching around near our hideout.

Meanwhile, I also need a distraction to keep the thane of Snowbourn occupied.
I don't need him looking into the matter of the missing squire, or the questionings in town. Luckily, the folk here are easily bought.. and with a few well placed coins the thane will have enough trouble on his mind to keep him occupied for the next couple of weeks.
Four nights from now, a fight in the mead hall and a couple of dead riders will turn the heads of the thane and his loyalists into another direction. Leaving us free to take a more valuable person from the town..
