A Mask

Annsuel's day began with her walking to the Pony from her home with Levarris.  She wore her blue dress, her circlet, and her smile.  No one suspected the sweet looking Annsuel, beautiful and kind.  That's how she'd like to keep it.  Though to her surprise, a man she had met as Annsuel before Harlyn, Zurich, and her threatened him under the disguise of a mask asked to speak with her.  Earlier, Annsuel had to tell the man, whose name was Deredan, of her true identity, Lady Elodiel, to cover for Harlyn.  The girl who never seemed to lack in bravery did lack in the ability to find a cover story and keep to it.  So Annsuel told Deredan she was a friend of her, and that she was Lady Elodiel of Gondor.  Luckily they had spoken in Sindarin, a language Harlyn did not understand.

However, he asked to speak to Lady Elodiel, not knowing she was a part of Indignation.  There he told her of the threats, and cautioned her of Indignation.  Inside, a bit of her cheered, though she hid the inner success as she showed nothing but nervousness upon her face.

Another very interesting conversation with a man caught Annsuel's attention.  At first he thought she was a spy for she wore her mask in the back of the Pony, where he sat alone.  Although, Annsuel had no clue who the man is.  She rose to her feet and moved to the chair next to him.  The conversation was quite amusing as the man attempted to identify her homelands. Although Annsuel never revealed her name, she did tell him she was from Gondor.  The man's calm demeanor turned angered as he threatened her, saying that if she was a traitor of Gondor, he would kill her there and then.  But when he checked a list, which Annsuel did not get a glimpse at, he relaxed finding no female names written upon the paper.

A threat, that was something Annsuel had become use to.  For almost immediately after that, Another, different man, who Annsuel did not know, asked for an audience with Zurich and Annsuel.  He was an Estellin, that Annsuel collected.  And he threatened them to leave his friends alone or they had to face him.  Zurich showed fear, Annsuel did not.  One thing Annsuel noticed was Zurich was not as brave as Harlyn or her.  A part of Annsuel pitied the girl, for she knew the fear that Zurich felt.  The only difference is that Annsuel knew how to hid her fear from the years she would hide fear from her father.

After that meeting, the tired Annsuel returned home to Levarris. It always amazed Annsuel how her only true friends, the only ones she could trust completely, was Lord Levarris and her cat, Honey.  And even though Levarris's home was in the Thaladuin estates, Annsuel felt as if that was the safest and most dangerous place she could be.  But she trusted Levarris with her life.
