No Signs

Strange winds had been blowing down into Imladris...

They're stronger. They're colder...

The search for Thendryt finds its end.

Faorie had returned to Imladris on a heavily clouded morning.

Although hesitant by the circumstances, she had called for a gathering before Lady Elisbeth to announce the grave news of Thendryt's death in the Misty Mountains. Faorie faced not only the concerning faces of her fellows, but she had come to recognize the shame she held for herself in not preventing the grave event from passing.

After a lengthy discussion regarding the matter, those in presence of the gathering agreed to join Faorie in search of Thendryt's body through the snowy peaks, as suggested by Lady Elisbeth. The death of a protector of the vale shall be met with honour and respect, and although the challenges met along the paths taken to Thendryt's death were shadowed, his eyes' final meet with Faorie's proved to house a greater reason behind his actions. It was in that moment that Faorie came to understand...

At the end of the meeting, Faorie excused herself to meditate over recent events. Imlad Gelair was where she remained in peaceful solitude for the coming night, her memories shifting over the paths taken.

Thendryt's first reappearance to Imladris had been met with a surprised welcome. He had known of Faorie before he had met her. They had sparred, tested each other's skills in battle. He had requested her aid, but her role as a watcher of the vale had kept her from serving Thendryt's cause. It was because of this that he never came to confide in her... the opportunity to reach such a point had diminished and over time his once determined yet warming face had grown cold and his eyes dark.

His demons began to rise.

Khalis, Osilivren, Nelnardis, and Faorie had journeyed beyond Imladris out towards the Misty Mountains.

Faorie had first led the group to the spot where Thendryt had fallen. It was there that the battle had taken place – where he had engaged against her. It was also the place where his final gaze met Faorie's and the darkness that had once plagued him had cleared to reveal a deeper purpose... and finally, it was the place where his blood had been guided onto her hand by a dagger.

Following this the search group moved southwards to the lake where Thendryt's body had fallen. Ice had covered the entire lake, closing any open gaps where water once flowed. They walked along the trail of the frozen source and discovered a populated camp. At first, sneak was attempted, but urges to move on were great and the members of the group easily battled the hostile creatures of the mountain that watched over the paths the warriors aimed to walk.

The marked path led them to an open stream where waters rushed gently. There the group remained to discuss possible situations of what had happened to Thendryt.

Khalis and Faorie speak of possibilities on Thendryt's survival.

Although all signs pointed to his demise, there was a sense of incomprehension that filled the air... and in this, Khalis turned a question towards Faorie regarding whether or not she was truly convinced that Thendryt was gone to them.

Hesistant yet convinced, she admitted that she believed that there must be more than what they had come to find – that Thendryt may still had been alive.

But without evidence of it, there was not more the members of the Warband could do.

The four made their way back to the cliff where Thendryt was last seen and saluted the memory of him.

Saluting the memory of Thendryt.

Lady Elisbeth had then joined the company and together they had come across an abandoned campfire. They spoke briefly of concerning matters and after the night deepened, it became apparent that the harsh environment was to soon worsen.

They returned to Imladris, and plans to formally honour Thendryt, with or without his body present, was to be prepared and discussed amongst members as soon as possible.
