This is most unfortunate !
I Still can't find my best handkerchief, I looked everywhere but sadly no luck. It was the last gift my father gave me before passing away, so it has a huge sentimental value to me. I need to find it, I am so clumsy sometime, how does one go about losing a handkerchief ? Of all things that one can lose...buttons, hair, teeth...I go and misplace one of the most precious things I own. I must try to find that hobbit again, the one I met the night I lost my hanky. Oh she was a a cheerful and friendly hobbit - I did ask Rory at the stables, and I was directed to the cottage with the blue door...oooh my, that is most worrisome.
It was dark , late at night. I saw this little white thing running down the path as spring rain started to pour down , I could not see her face very well in the dark, but her voice sounded nice and gentle humming a song about...lemons ? . She mentioned the old cottage with the blue door at the edge of the village before, she said it belong to her now...that surely got my full attention because grandpa Rufus does mention that house in his book. I may need to go and have a look at the burrow myself, and better not say a word about this...for now at least.
'Warning! Caution! Don't go near!
Blue door cottage holds much to fear!
Once home to hobbits plain and fair,
Now something strange lives there.'
I will walk down the village later on tomorrow, ask the bounders, maybe someone found my handkerchief and handed it in at the Watch Office, or to the local Inn that would be what I would do if I find something that is lost, then again hobbits do like mathoms and I fear someone may just want to keep it but I really hope not.
