The Lost Light Recovered

At last Lord Anglachelm has been found! We ran after the enemy a long way, all the way from Enedwaith to Dunland, Rohan, and from Lórien to Mirkwood where he was, and here we are, back in beloved Lórien. A certain nameless Elf who he apparently knew was to be thanked for helping us to find him.

To me it is clear what or rather who unites us – at once when Anglachelm was found, the behavior of everyone changed. I also told the others that I appreciate them, which is true. The old bickering was forgotten and as a healer Laurelindo took charge. Suddenly a peace landed in our hearts, but another kind of worry of keeping him alive soon took us over.

As for me when we first stopped to the Elven camp the first time, in was raining, but I was happy, happier than in countless years. My will was crushed after King Finrod perished in the old Age and I wasn't by his side, but despite his wounds Lord Anglachelm – also my Lord now – was still alive and in Middle-Earth. I felt like what I couldn't do back in the days was now redeemed. In the gloom of Mirkwood I took off my hood and let the rain wash my face, like it could wash away my worries.

We took Lord to Lórien in a strange cart, but I refrained to tell what I really thought about it and it's menacing squeeks. At least it took us to the shore, and that was enough. I have to appreciate Tindir for his efforts for that reason.

When we arrived to the docks of Lórien, he saw his old friend again, but collapsed, after thanking us all. Lord Veryacano asked me to tell the healers in the city of emergency, and so a pulley with a cabin was arranged for him, and he was taken to a surgery where pieces of metal was removed out of him. While the surgery was still ongoing, I quickly washed myself and talked to the cooks to arrange a feast for us since especially Anglachelm needed proper food.

But the Lady Galadriel had already looked forward to our return so the food was ready, and I delivered it to the others so we could eat royally. Even the dessert had not been forgotten, which was a kind of custard topped with whipped cream, as smooth as could be.

I talked with Anglachelm for a short time when the others had gone. All of a sudden he was quite frantic when I mentioned that Elvealin was in Lórien, and when he noticed that he didn't have her bell. He calmed down after I explained that he didn't need to worry, as Parnard has it. I have used to Parnard being an odd kind of fellow that easily gets in strange situations – but as I have seen with his behavior after Anglachelm had been found, he would not let our Lord down, and so I could trust him with keeping the bell safe.

As for Elvealin, since we found Anglachelm it was clear that not his body alone needed healing, but also his fëa. I still saw traces of shadow left in it as he talked after the surgery. Elvealin has the air and knowledge to heal a fëa, and indeed she has been writing mind lifting music for the very purpose and practicing singing, along with some other preparations. All that the Lord would have to do is to ask me to get her – she is ready.

Meanwhile, I should also report to Lord Celeborn and Lady Galadriel while I am here, as Elvealin has done, to offer them any help while we are still here. Lord Anglachelm also has my ear. From what I have heard from Anglachelm's speech, he holds Galadriel in high regard, and I am glad for it.
