A Man of Whispers Entry 1

Dear Journal,

I previously thought it was foolish to keep a journal, too much valuable information could be found inside that I would prefer be left alone but the world already seems to know so how much worse could this be. A few nights ago I was approached by an assassin, Maximus, who then tried to kill me. We had another assassin, Garton, in our captivity and I freed him to kill this Maximus. Garton sought me out at the pony and told me the deed was done. I followed him for awhile before realizing he was leading me to beggar's alley. Luckily I passed by a member of my house, Sips, who then came with me. When we stopped, Maximus seemed to lie dead.

At this point the Lord of my house, Gerwolf, found as in the alley, thank the gods he did being previously injured I fear I would have lost my life there if he had not. Suddenly, Maximus jumped up and made an attempt on our lives along with the assistance of Garton and one other man, who remained hidden until that moment. I found myself fighting Garton one on one, knowing I was no match because of my injuries I talked him out of the fight, persuading him with gold.

I then moved on to assist Gerwolf with Maximus. At this point I had already taken a throwing knives to my shoulder. I'm afraid I was not much help and more of a nuisennce to Gerwolf, I recognized that and backed off, thowing throwing knives of my own at him but he dodged them. The last assassin at this point had taken care of Sips and came charging at me. I dueled with him for awhile, he was a big man so he was not as fast as Garton. But a man that I only know as Gal knocked him out. When he started to rise I tried to hit him with my can but her moved. I then moved on and landed a hard blow in the leg. But then took a stilleto to my pectoralis I fell to the ground and the unamed assassin planted a knife in my calf. It all is fuzzy from there, but Gerwolf prevailed and left Maximus and his assailent bleeding in the dirt.

That feels good to get off my chest. Thank you journal, I do believe I will write in you again sometime.
